I just finished listening to John August and Craig Mazin’s 25th podcast.

After it was over this thought came up. It has to do with a masonic symbol but in no way does this deal with that area of esoteric knowledge. The symbol is the Jachin and the Boaz, the two pillars of man’s knowledge: the arts, beauty, the other science and strength. Like yin and yang, sun and moon. But for me, how it relates here, is how a movie, tv show or doc is put together.
The written word is usually where the whole story starts. Nothing happens till some word is uttered or written down or spoken by a character. That is one pillar. Okay, the other pillar of this experience is, nothing is recorded, unless light, reflected or directed, goes through a glass fixture and is acquired by some medium.
OT, the future of acquisition with cameras using glass may be coming to an end…
The point being that these two activities are the pillars of content creation in this aspect of entertainment industry. Everything else hangs off them.
Just my thoughts, not fleshed out, but a hmmm.
